PlayStation 2.
Current road vehicle: Renault Scenic 4x4
Favourite road vehicle: BMW M5
Most admired drivers: Past - Alain
Prost; Present - Michael Schumacher
Racing ambition: To prove myself at the
highest level
Favourite racing circuit: Spa-Francorchamps,
Belgium
Best motorsport event so far: Winning
the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch in October 1996 and winning the
F3000 race at Monaco in 2001.
Most annoying event so far: Le Mans
1999, closely followed by Le Mans '98. There was so much effort and
preparation put into the project by AMG and Mercedes and everyone involved
on both occasions, but it still went badly wrong for us. Also, Snetterton
in 1997 when I was racing Formula 3 and took the car through a cornfield!
Downside of being an international
motorsport star: None really although the constant travel can be pretty
tiring. It's the same routine of airport/hotel/track/airport and living
100% out of a suitcase for weeks on end.
Favourite country: Italy - apart from
Australia of course
Favourite bands: Savage Garden, Madonna,
Gabrielle and U2, some classical music and generally almost anything
that's on mainstream radio.
Favourite movie: The Castle
Favourite reading: Biographies and
autobiographies - especially by people who have overcome adversity.
Favourite kind of TV programme: Most
sport and documentaries
Favourite actor: Jack Nicholson
Stress buster: Listening to music by
myself, flying model aeroplanes, relaxing in warm and sunny weather.
Most prized possession: Mick Doohan
T-shirt, signed by Mick at Phillip Island in October '99.
