Mark
Webber is set to join the Jaguar team next season, according to
reports from Pedro de la Rosa who said "the contract has already been
signed for the 2003 season." & Pedro de la Rosa also said "I will be
racing alongside him & Eddie Irvine would be dropped or be put
on a testing role."The Austrailian F1 star has impressed this
season, and is tipped to make his move to Jaguar for 2003. The current
Minardi driver's team boss Paul Stoddart has said that the move is
'imminent', and a deal is expected to be tied up before the Belgian
Grand Prix.
Webber joining the team would be bad news for current Jaguar driver
Eddie Irvine, as he would be forced to leave the team with Pedro de la
Rosa still under contract.
