Practice
MARK WEBBER Position: 20h Fastest lap: 1 min 51.343 secs
“It has really been a tough Friday for us, as we had a problem in
the first session with the front of the car, which we solved, and
then, in the second session, we had gearbox difficulties. I’m now
looking forward to tomorrow in order to do some proper tyre runs and
to complete our pre-qualifying technical programme. Hopefully, the
weather will be dry in the morning because I had no track time
today.” |
Qualifying
MARK WEBBER Position: 19th Fastest lap: 1 min 47.562 secs
“I’ve only done 15 flying laps so far this weekend, with four of
those in qualifying, so to have finished up just over
three-and-a-half seconds off the pole position time this afternoon
is probably not such a bad result. I’m really pleased with the guys,
who have worked hard to sort out some technical issues on the car
yesterday and today. This is a difficult track for our package, so
all in all, to have recovered as well as we have is pleasing.” |
Race
MARK WEBBER Position: DNF (lap 5) Fastest lap: 1 min 52.469 secs
“Again,
it has been a trying weekend for us. We had a few issues on Friday
in the first session, which lost us time in the second session, and
also in the untimed session on Saturday morning. Qualifying went
well for us, and the warm-up today wasn’t bad either. We had quite a
bit of fuel in the car this morning and so we were looking forward
to the race. It was going okay up until we had a gearbox problem.
It’s unfortunate I couldn’t do more laps at a track that I enjoy,
but we’ve had a very good finishing record this season, and you
cannot expect to finish every single race. This is one of the rare
occasions the car has caused us some problems.” |
