“We made good progress today, although I didn’t
get the best lap when we ran new tyres this afternoon. The car is generally
running well, and the guys did a good job between sessions sorting a couple
of small problems. I like the track and am looking forward to tomorrow.” |

“It was a pretty good qualifying session for us,
and that was the maximum that we could take out of our package here. It
would have been nice to get Allan (McNish), but it just wasn’t on today. The
guys again did a very good job and I believe we are on the right tyres for
tomorrow’s race. We sacrificed a little bit today by not picking the softer
ones, but hopefully we’ll be rewarded in tomorrow’s race with a stable car.” |

“This was a positive race for us. I passed
several drivers at the start, including Frentzen and McNish, but
unfortunately, they blasted back past me on the straight. I was struggling
with the first set of tyres with 10 laps to go to the pit stop – the
oversteer was so bad, I thought we’d picked up a puncture. After the stop,
the car was very good and we were able to push all the way to the finish.
The team has again done a brilliant job this weekend. The car ran reliably
the whole time and was a credit to the guys. Our turn will come for another
good result shortly.” |
